Ranking all the players in 4 Nations Face-off

The 4 Nations Face-off are less than a week away, with Canada and the Sweden meeting in the first matchup on February 12. The United States and Finland Follow -up on February 13 (at 20 ET, ESPN/E+), with the championship game set for February 20 in Boston (8 pm one, ABC/E+).

There will be 92 players representing the four countries in the initial tournament. How are all players stacked with each other? (Note: There are currently only 91 players because Canada has not replaced Alex Pietrangelo.?

We asked a panel of more than 50 ESPN TV companies, analysts, journalists and editors to judge players based on how good they will be in 4 Nations Face-off.

The wild goalkeeper has set strong numbers like the team’s primary starter, which ranks in the top 15 in goal stored over replacement. Plus, if the Swedes need more violation, Gus is their guy with a goal and an assist this season for Minnesota. – Wyshynski

Although the predators have fought, Saros has been a constant as he has played in everyone except 11 of their games. – Clark

Guentzel is opportunistic and a brilliant post -therapist with the puck. It is no wonder that he can easily average one point per point. Fighting and pairing relatively well with almost anyone. The ability to form quick chemistry will be tender now, and Team USA will count on Guentzel to make this magic happen. – Shilton

Canada boasts one of the game’s best two-way forward in Stone to anchor his bottom-six forward group. The veteran is also an excellent playmaker that can frustrate opponents in the corners and break down acting in the transition. – Shilton

Miller is not sweating any trade rumors now and is free to be the versatile active team the United States needs. He can play center or on the wing and combines good speed with a heavy shot and physical presence. Whatever the United States has to call, you have to trust Miller to be a significant factor in the team’s offensive success. – Shilton

Ottawa’s captain is known for its passion and typical Tkachukian gravel. But Tkachuk is more than just a younger Matthew – he is an iherig skater who can run any line and raise teammates. When Team USA players need a spark plug, they make it switch to Tkachuk. – Shilton

Canada coach Jon Cooper knows exactly what he gets from point and it’s a top-tier performance. The point is versatile and determined, strategic and quick on pucker, and always (apparently) one step ahead of an opponent’s defense. This is what helps drift the violation of lightning and can be a game election for Canada. – Shilton

It is hardly overreacting to say that Reinhart has become one of the best fowards in the game. He comes out of a 94-point season and is in the process of hitting amazing numbers again as a knowledgeable, high-octo-scorer who also doesn’t ski on the defensive side. Reinhart is one of Canada’s most rounded skaters. – Shilton

Several items have come to define Hedman throughout his famous career. Consistency is among them. This consistency has enabled the lightning to remain an Eastern Conference Challenger and could give Sweden a path to the championship. – Clark

Rantan’s recent trade for Carolina Hurricanes means he will now be the primary focal point. It will also be the same for Finland. The Hulking wing has established himself as one of the game’s strongest facilitators, while consistently proving that he can score as many goals as he creates. – Clark

It has never been a matter of talent for Eichel. It’s been more of a conversation about what he could do with that talent. What he has done for the Golden Knights appears as a top-line center that can trust in any situation in a way that makes him a factor every time he steps on to the ice. It is also another reason why he is driving for Hart Trophy. – Clark

Tkachuk can (and do) do it all on the ice and it will continue to be his superpower in this tournament. Whether it channels his physical around the net, the defense terrorizes his scoring skills or differs as a playmaker, Tkachuk’s teammates know that they get a certain effort from him in each game. – Shilton

Hughes is a dominant passersby who will push the pace of the United States ahead and create its own chances along the way. New Jersey’s Star skater is dangerous in all three zones and should pading his team’s transition game with a top-end speed level. Somehow, Hughes makes it all look effortless. – Shilton

Marner does not take the back seat to anyone on Canada’s list of the level of skill and talent he brings. The wing is a power center by even strength and on the power play. He can eat short -haired minutes. And did we mention playmaking? It’s unparalleled in the league – and this tournament. – Shilton

If Crosby has done something this year, it shows why he can never be counted out. In a terrible year for Pittsburgh as a whole, Crosby has continued to produce and will continuously testament its team in the match. It is the latter management ability that can benefit Canada most and is an important reason why, whether Crosby falls into a top-six or more complementary role, he is an indispensable piece of the lineup. – Shilton

Barkov does what Barkov is doing best this season. He average one point per Battle while still acting like a game’s strongest two -way forward. Knowing that Finland could have Barkov anchoring a line with the Rantan is the kind of combination that could see them go a long way in the tournament. – Clark

For all the challenges that Canucks face, Hughe’s performance this season has not been one of them. The reigning Norris Trophy winner looks like he could raise the award again as he is in another equal 90-point season while holding Canucks during an endgame. – Clark

Matthews was tapped as Team US Captain of a Grunden-He has made the most of this damaged NHL campaign as a point-per-game skater, which as always can tilt the ice to his team’s advantage. And that shot? It’s deadly like ever – just like Matthews turns out to be. – Shilton

The reigning Hart Trophy winner of NHLS MVP, Mackinnon, has the kind of season that could see him repeating that bang. He leads the NHL in points, and his all-round game can help Canada challenge to a 4 National Title. – Clark

What he did last season, so Hellebuyck win his second vezina trophy. What he has done this year has made it possible for him to have what is perhaps the best season of his career, and could see him win more than just a third Vezina. – Clark

Makar’s ability to influence several facets of the game is what makes him one of NHL’s best players at any position. Already teammates with Mackinnon, having these two on the ice along with McDavid for a power play could cause a lot of problems. – Clark

His status as the best player of the game has consistently been cemented by the fact that he has finished more than 100 points seven times in his career. McDavid is underway in a fifth straight season of more than 100 points, which only adds to the intrigues of what he could achieve at 4 Nations Face-off. – Clark
