Generating the main takeaways

On the one hand Monday’s season 27 premiere on The voice Seemed like old times, what about and trainer Adam Levine back on the panel. On the other hand it felt like something was missing … or rather naked. The Maroon 5 frontman’s long-standing foil, Blake Shelton, withdrew from the sustained NBC-Sing-off after subsequent season 23.

Although the country’s superstar did not make a surprising performance during the episode (recovered here) he did Kinda Make a como via the secret weapon that the show gave Rookie coach Kelsea Ballerini: The opportunity to press her button to play shooting shelton rampetically dissing his rival on screen. “Adam is a big baby” went the first. This was followed by Gwen Stefani’s better half who exclaimed on the tape that “Adam will not hold a chain”, “Adam is a crappy coach” and more.

While not quite the reunion that fans of Shelton and Levine’s playful competitive quarrel might have hoped, it was a fun Nikk for their story and a smart way to involve Ballerini in it. Or at least we thought so. What did you take on “Reunion”? Vote in the vote below, and then press the comments.
