Louisville, Ky. (Wave) – A wave weather warners kick in at. 3 Tuesday when snow and rain arrive. This will be a wet snow along and north of western Kentucky and blue grass parkways with rain and flood potential in southern Kentucky. Temps hold near freezing all night.

Snow will be heavy at times Tuesday morning and afternoon. Fortunately, temperatures will still be on or just over freezing in most areas. This allows treated ways to remain acceptable, but side streets will have problems.

Snow will be wrapped along the I-64 corridor around 10 pm. 23 Tuesday night, with a couple of rain showers continuing in Kentucky at times. Traveling improves when the snow ends. 2 ″ -4 ″ snow between I -64 and KY Parkways is possible with locally higher totals.

Common rain and milder temperatures in their 40s are with us Wednesday afternoon when another low pressure system moves through, this time north of the last that gave us snow. This rainfall will aggravate the flood potential of southern Kentucky.

Thursday and Friday looks drier and cooler. There is a small chance for some smooth spots on the roads early Thursday as rainfall comes out and cold air throws in, but for now that chance of snow sees.

We have declared another wave weather warning for Saturday, as strong for potentially severe thunderstorms is possible. More details about what is coming!
