Tigers Cantsters Take Heels to Keep Momentum Rolling

Clemson – In a unique VRI for this conference match, North Carolina entered Littlejohn as the hunters and chased a Marquee victory over No. 23 Clemson.

Despite being hunting, it was Tigers’ prey.

Clemson secured dominant win number 20, edge stamping of Tar Heels, 85-65.

The Tigers reached 20 wins for the third equal season and reached this level for the first time since 2007-10.

Clemson’s focus in the beginning was a key question that came in Monday night, considering the emotional hangover from Duke. Early on, North Carolina was able to stay in the competition and exploit revenue and transform it into 13 points in the initial stages of the first half.

TAK HEELS hoped that the start would charge a close matchup with a troubled potential brewing.

Lakhin had various plans where he picked up where he escaped Duke and continued what has been the best stretch of his time at Clemson. Given the guard-heavy lineup that Tar Heels has worked, it would have been a sure assumption that the Cincinnati transfer would act close to the edge.

Instead, he began to come to work from the outside. Lakhin knocked in his first four triple to make things roll and also found its groove in the paint.

He ended with 20 points in the first half and almost matched his 22-point performance from Saturday night victory over Duke for half the time.

After only shot 4-10 from the outside against Blue Devils, the script was flipped on Monday night. The tigers went nuclear from deep to begin the first half and hit eight of their first 12 beyond the arch.

If Lakhin’s first half was the detonation of an explosive evening from three-point land, then Chase HunterThe second half was a devastating demand.

Hunter started 3-4 from deep to open the other half as Clemson led with as much as 21 in the opening frames in the last 20 minutes. He also doubled his totals from the first half and waited patiently for his opportunities for good looking and paid them as the moment required it.

ACC leader in three-point percentage ended with 19 points and continued an all-acc campaign.

His counterpart on backcourt, Jaeden Zackerycontinues to be the tigers’ stabilizing force. He added 16 points and four steals in 33 minutes of action, giving Tar Heels Claustrobia all evening when they searched for a comeback.

With the victory, the Tigers have beaten North Carolina, Duke and Kentucky all in the same season now, which is not achieved by even Sport Blue Bloods like Kansas or Michigan State (Maryland did so in his national title 2001-02 run).

In the blow-out effort, the Tigers led as much as 26 and ended with a draw of its greatest margin of victory over UNC (20, 1976-77).

Clemson has some time before traveling to Tallahassee for a new match with Florida State, which overturns on Saturday, February 15 at noon at the CW Network.
