Lisa Riley seems to have stepped in to defend Peter Kay in the midst of criticism after he kicked an audience member at a recent concert and called her “Lisa Riley” in a Jibe about her weight.

Kay has come under fire to the comment as well as several others, he made on Saturday, February 8 during a Manchester show, but Emmerdale star Riley seems to have broken her silence on the subject.


Comedian Kay, 51, has been exposed to intense setbacks to make “ugly” jokes against Hecklers at a recent concert, including one in response to a woman who shouted that she “loves” him.

The comedian appeared on his homecoming performance on Saturday, February 8 as part of his better late than never again! Touring, and apparently became furious when a man in crowd continued to shout “garlic bread” – Kay’s catch.

Another woman shouting “We Love You” was also started out, with Kay who hit back with cruel remarks about her weight and compared her to Emmerdale star Lisa Riley, claimed a witness.

Fans have since slammed the cartoon, with many explaining that they left the show early after his behavior.

However, Riley, 48, seems to have taken the comments in her steps and even noticed the comments “Funny” in a new Instagram post.

Emmerdale -the actress shared a post by reading: “Keep calm and laugh” that exceeds the update: “It’s a laugh, it’s fun !!!” (sic)

The woman who was kicked out of Kay is understood to have shouted, “We love you Peter Kay.”

Her remark was greeted with the cartoon that shouted back: “Go ahead, from You Go Lisa Riley” when she was asked to leave the show.

Riley is best known for his role as Mandy Dingle on the ITV soap and has been open about his struggle with weight in the past.

In recent years, the actress has thrown an impressive 12 stone after changing her lifestyle habits.

Her answer comes shortly after reports emerged that Kay had given rise to indignation with the comment when he chucked the woman out of performance with another heckler.

During the show, the comedian apparently became furious over perceived Hecklers, despite the cries, including referrals to his catch, as well as what others considered a positive remark.

The first man was also asked to leave, with the woman the second started out of the show.

However, many of his other jokes triggered the same night as he reportedly imitated a blind person and made a quip about depression.

“(It) was embarrassing, the guy was shouting only garlic bread, and the woman just shouted that we love you Peter,” a guest remembered on the show.

They continued to say that they had “waited 20 years to see him and were disappointed,” Mailonline reports.

Another said to the publication, “We were sitting in front of the guy. He shouted garlic bread about four times that a professional comedian he (Kay) should have handled the situation better, the woman said only she loved him! They were. T heckling or swearing .

The show was labeled “chaotic” with another spectator who blasted the “ugly and bitter” comments from the comedian who found fame in the 1990s.
