Strong storms possible across the middle TN Thursday

Nashville, Tenn. (WKRN) – Strong storms are possible throughout the region on Thursday morning before another round arrives in the afternoon in the evening.

10:30 AM update from Storm Prediction Center has added a small risk (level 2/5) for the Central and Eastern Middle Tennessee, with a marginal risk (level 1/5) to cover our father Western Counties, the southern part of Middle Tennessee and southeastern southern Kentucky.

This afternoon storms are likely to be more robust. And any storm that gets started can have strong winds and big hail along with heavy rain as the biggest worries. The tornado threat is low but not zero.

This afternoon, strong storms come again with a cold front pushing through. Storms could start already at. 12, but become more widespread at. 16.00. Storms continue to push south of I-40 in the evening and night hours.

Temperatures are in the 50s on Friday with a few expected showers. Then Saturday returns warmer temperatures with heights to the 60s and 70s. A few strong storms possible Saturday night to early Sunday morning, then much colder temperatures.

Rain amounts through Sunday will be close to 1 inch in some areas. Next week, much colder air will return with further rainfall and possible winter rainfall. Keep an eye on updates!
