Alex Len does not sign with Pacers

Veteran Center Alex Len Don’t sign Pacers After all, League Confirms Confirms Dustin Dopopleak from Indianapolis Star.

Len, who was traded from Sacramento to Washington at the trade deadline, was cut by the wizards on Saturday with reporting at the time indicating he was planning to sign with Indiana after clearing exceptions. Dopopleak heard the same thing this weekend, but says that appointment no longer goes on where Indiana has turned to another previous lottery choice, Jahlil Okafor.

While Dopople does not have specific details of why the reported agreement dropped through, he notes that there has been “movement” in the center position around the league in recent days, which may have “changed the dynamics” in the decision of the lake. Specifically he points to Lakers resign their trade for Mark Williams Like a feature that created a remarkable opening in the middle of a team that was apparently heading for a quay after the season.

It is also worth noting that Dave McMenamine from ESPN cited sources Monday, who said Los Angeles may have pursued Len if he had not agreed to sign with Pacers. There is no indication at this time that Len has reached an agreement with Lakers, but they are definitely a team worth keeping an eye on here.

The fifth overall election in 2013 draft, Len has been a reliable frontcourt option in 12 NBA seasons spending time with Suns, Hawks, Raptors, Wizards and Kings. The 31-year-old Ukrainian has spent the last few seasons as a depth of Sacramento, where he performed 149 performances (15 starts) over the course of three and a half seasons, an average of 3.0 points and 2.8 rebounds in 10.0 minutes per Match.
