Free Agent Center Alex Len Accepts to Deal with Lakers

Free Agent 7-Footer Alex Len has changed course, which on Tuesday agreed with a deal with Los Angeles Lakers, his agent Mike Lelchitzki told ESPN.

Len intended to sign with Indiana Pacers, but has decided to land in Los Angeles after Lakers canceled the trade to acquire Mark Williams and created new opportunities for a center.

Lakers waived Christian Wood to open a guard to sign the len, sources told ESPN. Wood has not yet played this season while rehabing from an offseason knee surgery.

Len, 31, gives Lakers further depth to a thin front line that joins Jaxson Hayes as position centers.

The wizards acquired Len from Sacramento Kings in a three -way trade this week in a deal centered on Marcus Smart, who went from Memphis Grizzlies to the wizards.

Len had played in 36 games for Kings this year, an average of 1.4 points and 1.8 rebounds in 7.2 minutes.

In its 12th NBA season, Len has a career of 6.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 17.1 minutes per day. Match.
