Florida expect Alijah Martin back from the hip damage in Mississippi State

Gainesville, Fla. – No. 3 Florida expects Guard Alijah Martin to play in Mississippi State on Tuesday night.

Martin missed the team’s disturbed over top-ranked Auburn on Saturday due to a hip pointer. But coach Todd Golden said on Monday that Martin “moves really well” in practice and should be back in the starting lineup against the 22. Ranked bulldogs.

“I think he wants to play,” Golden said. “I expect him to play, but it’s a fun little injury and a little move here and that can bother him. But he looked really good (Sunday).”

Martin ranks number two on the team to score, an average of 15.3 points a game. He also average 4.9 rebounds and ranks number two on the team with 58 assists.
