Drake Maye takes the title of P&G Ping Pong event

Patriots fans have their hope for Drake Maye, which could potentially win a championship and bring greatness back to New England, and he did just that Wednesday night.

Granted, it was on a ping -pong table, but nonetheless represented the rooki region with style Wednesday night after drawing a title game during an event down in New Orleans.

Maye was one of four NFL players, including Kirk CousinsChris Olave and Micah Parsons who attended P&G BATTLE OF THE PADDLES Ping Pong Tournament Wednesday night.

The campaign was sponsored by Proctor & Gamble and Lowes and contained these NFL players along with several internet personalities pairing themselves with the stars below a double round, followed by individual one-them between each of the players.

Maye led his side to a 2-to-2 win of the tournament, which saw things getting a little Chippy as he and Parson’s team went back and forth in the final round before May’s side won that part of the event.

But the two squared during the individual part of the tournament, with Maye sweeping Parsons after winning two-match matches in the best-of-three match.

The whole thing was in good fun, with Parson’s smiling and said, “The kid has some game” after it was over.

Maye then had to sit down and watch cousins fight for it with Olave, who saw the soon-to-be Falcons quarterback take the Saints bank down for a shot at Maye in the final.

But Maye made it look easy and hit cousins again in two games to take the title home. Then he rubbed a little salt in the wound by pretending to autograph his paddle and hand over it to the parsons.

Parsons joked earlier in the evening that he gets even with Maye on the field the next time they meet. Fortunately, Parsons blocks somewhere other than Dallas or the two meetings in a much more meaningful February Championship Showdown, The two do not see each other on Gridiron until at least 2027.
