Dean Helene Dillard to participate in UC Davis Agricultural Experts at World Ag Expo

Visit will be Dean Dillard’s last time at annual event before retiring later in the year

Davis, California – Dean Helene Dillard from UC Davis College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, or CA & ES, will gather with co -researchers, staff and students in Tulare in 2025 World Ag Expothat connect farmers, growers, farmers, potential students, alumni and leaders throughout the agricultural industry.

World AG Expo, held on February 11-13, is the largest annual agricultural show of its kind. Organizers expect the event to draw 102,000 people to the 2.6 million square meter international Agri centers, where 1,200 exhibitors will show the latest technology and equipment. Seminars, trips, demonstrations and scholarships are also part of the 3-day event.

The theme this year is “paving the way for AG and technology.”

This will be Dillard’s last trip to the World Ag Expo, so Dean, which she retires later in the year after 11 years in service to the college.

“World AG Expo is a great opportunity to interact with the agricultural community, meet with partners and connect with students in person,” Dillard said. “I look forward to meeting the next generation of agricultural workers, restoring the connection with alumni and learning about new technologies on the horizon.”

Dillard will be at UC Davis Booth – located in Ag Career and Education Center – From 7 p.m. 12.30pm to 15.00 on February 12 and invites alumni, students and others to come by and connect again. She also tours Expo reasons that day and on February 13.

Associated Dean for Agricultural Sciences Jason Bond, Associated Dean of Bachelor Academic Programs Susan Ebeler, Assistant Dean of the Development Annie Roses and Communications Director Caren Weintraub joins the dean.

CA & ES -experts participate in seminar and panel Sessions Addressing hot topics in the dairy industry, avian flu and navigation of labor challenges and automation.

College experts in animal science and other topics will be available to meet and visit participants. Aggie ambassadors and students advisers are also ready to answer questions about UC Davis Majors and Campus Life.

“We are happy to meet with potential students and share information about the exciting majors and career paths available to students at our college,” said Ebeler, who will be at UC Davis stand on February 13.

UC Davis is first ranked in the Nation of Agriculture, Plant Science, Animal Science and Agricultural Economics. In the fall of 2024, Campus enrolled 41,239 students with more than 7,500 students contained in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. Campus offers more than 100 majors, and students can choose between a variety of disciplines in agriculture, environmental and social and human sciences.
