Joann, fabric and craft chain, closes 500 stores, including its location in Natick

JoannThe fabric and the craft chain with more than 800 stores across the country, closing hundreds of locations, the company confirmed on Wednesday.

In one Statement to USA Today, Joann confirmed that it will close approx. 500 of its stores around the country – including its Natick location – “to ensure the best way forward” for the company.

“This was a very difficult decision to make, given the greatest influence we know it will have on our team members, our customers and all the communities we serve,” the statement states.

The news comes after the company has twice filed bankruptcy in the last year, including one Archiving right last month.

An accurate timeline for the end has not been announced yet, but in the latest court releases the company said they will immediately start closing the sale.

Other Joann Store Locations MA

According to Joann’s lodging of the court, the only store in Massachusetts that remains open, the Milford location.

The Milford store is at 91 Medway Rd.
