Teddi Mellencamp Brain Tumor Shock When Doctors Rush Ex Real Housewives Star in Emergency Surgery

Teddi Mellencamp has revealed ‘several tumors’ was found on her brain – and she will now undergo an operation today.

In a statement sent to her Instagram, Mellencamp revealed that tumors were discovered after ‘several weeks’ of ‘severe and debilitating headaches.’

Mellencamp, 43, gets two tumors removed today, with the remaining ‘smaller tumors’ to be ‘treated via radiation at a later date.’

The devastating news comes in the middle of Teddi’s battle with skin cancer, which began in 2022.

Although it is unclear what type of tumor has been discovered, skin cancer can spread to the brain and cause brain tumor, known as brain metastasis.

“For the past several weeks I have been dealing with severe and debilitating headaches. Yesterday the pain was unbearable and required hospitalization, ‘Teddi, the daughter of American singer John Mellencamp, said in his statement.

“After a CT scan and MRI, doctors found more tumors on my brain that they thought had grown for at least 6 months.

‘Two of tumors are surgically removed – the remaining smaller tumors are treated via radiation at a later date.

“I am blessed to be surrounded by my children, family, friends, doctors, nurses and surgeons who do everything to get me back for better health.

“Thank you all who have reached out, and to everyone who has supported me on this journey.”

Mellencamp seemed to prepare to undergo an operation in content that was sent to her Instagram stories, which began with a photo of themselves wearing a hospital shoe and lay in bed with different devices placed on her forehead.

‘Counting the minutes until my babies come hit,’ she wrote in the picture. “As my father said this am, God only gives hard things to those of us who can handle it.

“It’s a tough day, but I have faith and amazing surgeons and know that everything will be in order.”

In a subsequent video, Teddi’s hair was shaved by a friend.

As her mate cut off her long hair, Teddi tried to remain positive in the middle of the scary circumstances.

‘I’ll get this look on my bucket list!’ Said Teddi cheerfully. ‘My best look!’

Teddi’s surgery comes two years after she was diagnosed with phase to melanoma, the most dangerous type of skin cancer and kills almost 10,000 people a year.

According to the Centers for Disease Control, Melanoma is the fifth most common cancer in men and the sixth most common in women.

The certified Wellness Coach considered that since her original diagnosis she has had about 20 operations to combat cancer.

Her biggest operation was a ‘wide excision for melanoma and rebuilding soft tissue defect with adjacent tissue arrangement’, according to E! News that she underwent back in December 2023.

This is the operation that left her with the big, zig-zag scars across the back and shoulder.

In December, Mellencamp was pleased to report that she would not undergo another biopsy after two years of skin control.

“I just finished having some shouts, but it’s good,” she said.

“This is the first time and over two years I have gone in to my three-month control and have not had to have a biopsy because I have another cancer space.”

“Oh my gosh, such a good feeling,” she added.

2024 was a particularly difficult year for Teddi, where the star split from man Edwin Arroyave after more than 10 years of marriage.

She recently broke her silence about the reason her marriage ended.

Opens up on The thin confidence Podcast, the 43-year-old suggested that it was adultery that put their relationship on a grossly track-long before she allegedly distorted with her married horse coach Simon Schroeder.

“Me and Edwin had some of the most amazing years and the most amazing times, and when we met it was hot and it was all things, and then there would be anyone else,” she confessed.

And I would be like “It’s okay, I have to work through it, I make him love me more!” Then you have children and things happen, ”she continued.

‘Probably at the time when Edwin was ready to start working on it and really changing me, I probably stopped.’

She added, ‘But I never told him I was checked out. I think that’s the problem. ‘

Teddi admitted that Edwin had begun to work on himself to save their marriage, but at that time the damage had been done.

“I think I had anger or animosity or fear of ever being open again, so then I just closed,” she said.
