February’s full moon shines light tonight. Here’s what to expect from the snowmain

Tonight, Skywatchers are for a treat as the full snow moon rises.

This is because the moon’s orbit is tilted about five degrees compared to the Earth’s path around the sun which means the sun, Land And Moon doesn’t make it perfect this time.

The snowmoon is named after the season it falls inside, as February is often one of the snowy months in the Northern Hemisphere.

This month, Snow Moon’s appearance is accompanied by several bright planets, including Jupiter and Venus. For those with a clear overview of the western horizon, Venus will be visible right after sunset, and Jupiter Will shine loud over the Orion constellation as the evening progresses.
