Weather impacts for Wednesday, February 12

In the case of accumulating snowfall leading to dangerous conditions on campus and regional roads, the University of Delaware has made changes to its operations and academic teaching for Wednesday, February 12 at UDS Newark Campus. Additional changes for other outlets are noted below.

No personal teaching is held on Wednesday. Instructors are asked to communicate with their course sections as these sessions can convene almost (either through synchronous or asynchronous formats) or be canceled or re -planned at the instructor’s discretion. Flexibility is appreciated as these measures prioritize the safety and well -being of our students and faculties while ensuring academic continuity.

Significant staff must report to work Wednesday as planned. Non-important employees must work external Wednesday and not report to Campus. Supervisors communicate instructions and remote work to non-essential employees as needed.

Transport services will be suspended so far, which begins at 1 p.m. 20 Tuesday, February 11th.

Members of the university community are reminiscent of being careful while driving or navigation of campus.

Other campuses and areas

Outs activities in Community Education Building in Wilmington and Hugh R. Sharp Campus in Lewes will be remote on February 12 after Newark Campus operations.

OSER LIFELONG Learning Institute (Olli) At University Sociplies in Lewes, Newark, Ocean View and Wilmington are closed from noon on Tuesday, February 11 and will remain closed through Wednesday. All Olli-personal or hybrid/online classes that take place at Ollis Wyoming Church location are canceled on Tuesday and Wednesday.

University operations and instructions on DTCC Terry Campus in Dover close at. 16 Tuesday and opens again at noon Wednesday. Out Operations and Instruction on DTCC Georgetown (Owens) Campus closes at. 16.30 on Tuesday and will be remote Wednesday.

Uds Carvel Research and Education Center in Georgetown and Paradee Center in Dover will be closed on February 12.

Administrative staff at the university campuses in Wilmington, Lewes, Dover and Georgetown continue to monitor real -time weather conditions and provide updates where appropriate.

Plan updates

With regard to student well -being, patients with Wednesday appointments in student healthcare, sports medicine and the Center for Counselling and Student Development will be contacted to re -plan their personal appointments or transition to virtual appointments. Use Out-Hotline and other resources to access after-hours and 24/7 medical and crisis care support.

Carpenter Sports Building (Little Bob); the students centers; Newark Testing Center; And Wellbeing Center in Warner Hall is closing Wednesday. The bookstore works from 1 p.m. 11 to 17 Wednesday. Morris Library closes at. 20.00 on February 11 and will be closed on February 12.

Personal security

Security is the highest priority of the UDD. Faculty, staff and students should not jeopardize themselves, and employees who expect difficulties to travel should contact their supervisors.
