Borderland’s 4 gets a release date and another acrobatic trailer

I’m not even a borderland guy and I have to admit this latest Borderland’s 4 trailer Looks funny. Randy and Randy (it’s Varnell and Pitchford respectively) appeared in Sony’s State of Play Stream to show more of Borderland’s 4’s Acrobatic Gun Antics.

But the biggest news is a release date: Borderlands 4 is out September 23, 2025. It’s a Tuesday if you’re curious. Several failed attempts to enter Borderland’s 3, and the strange Tiny Tina game has shooed me away from the series, but I see a lot to suffer in the sliding, double jump and giant hooks – is Borderlands a movement shooter now? Ok, I’m leaning in.

This is our best look at Borderland’s 4 gameplay yet. Gearbox also had a trailer during the Game Awards in December, but one was more focused on characters and humor, aspects of borderlands that I can’t say I have ever thought much about. Maybe Borderland’s 4 will be a turning point. Back in September, narrative director Sam Winkler said:

“We want to make sure that the player and vault hunters are the central characters in our history. We want to make sure the world is reactive, the world is grounded. That while holding our humor that brings a lot of people coming back Back to our franchise, we will make sure it is situational that it comes out naturally. ”

Hopefully, Borderland’s 4’s humor will come more naturally than in the Borderland film, a critical and commercial floppy, which did not turn out to be the big transverse media “moment” for Borderland’s Gearbox, hoped for.
