Raptor’s main coach Darko Rajakovic says Tristan Thompson’s last second dunk showed ‘no class’

NBA has a few unwritten rules. One of them is that you should not try to score on your final possession if you win in a blowout. Cleveland Cavaliers Center Tristan Thompson violated it by thumping by four seconds left in a 131-108 win over Toronto Raptors.

It was not surprising that Raptors exempt to omit this and exchanged words with Thompson after the last sum. Thompson, also surprisingly, had his own words about sharing back. Assistant coach from both teams had to break up the crumade.

Afterwards, Raptor’s main coach Darko Rajakovic took a shot at Thompson’s actions.

“I think what Tristan did here was no class and disrespect,” Said Rajakovic “We won’t stand for it for sure. I’m really glad our guys, our players. … I love when my team stands up for itself. It wasn’t a class action. “

Unwritten rules are stupid in all sports. What happens in the last few seconds of a blow does not change the result of the game or do it more or less of a loss.

Still, Thompson has been in the NBA long enough to know that the scoring should cause the reaction it did. He also seemed well prepared for it. We don’t know what exactly brought up to it.

Cavs head coach Kenny Atkinson was also not sure what made Thompson go after the can.

“I’m not sure what he was thinking,” Said Atkinson afterwards. “Sometimes you play the game and you just have a reaction. I know with Tristan that there is no bad intention there. I think just sometimes you play. And you know, the goal of the game is to score and he just made a layup. But you know, (it’s) unfortunate. ”

Rajakovic’s comments are tough but understandable. This has not been a good season for Raptors, and this was definitely not a good view from his team the other night of a back-to-back. Cavs had their way and was up with as many as 39 points midway through the third quarter before letting their foot off the gas. No one will be happy in this situation.

Cavs swept their four-game seasonal series against Raptors. These teams do not face each other again until next season.
