Around yesterday night in Fantasy Basketball: Luka Dončić gets her laker’s debut and more

NBA (Per usual) brought the drama! Luka Dončić’s first match in Lakers colors had fans souring, while prominent performances from Demar Derozan, Anthony Edwards and Steph Curry lit the scoreboard. But not all highlights – key damage to a few players could shake fantasy -lineups, so let’s pack the most important stories from last night in the association.

Luka Dončić era in Los Angeles is finally underway! Wearing purple and gold for the first time, Dončić played 23 minutes and ended with 14 points (5-for-14 fg), 5 rebounds, 4 assists and a lonely turnover. The jazz was blown up significantly and lost 132-113.

Don 3. Dončić had a minute cap of 30 minutes, but he did not play the entire fourth quarter with the game out of reach. It will be a cheat code for JJ Redick to be able to shift LeBron and Luke’s minutes, leaving an elite scoring facilitator on the field at all times.

We can still expect them to play lots together, so they will both be able to generate a large number of counting statistics. Austin Reaves had another extraordinary game, and with so much attention to LeBron and Luka, Reave will continue to thrive as a third scoring opportunity for Lakers. Jaxson Hayes is also becoming the new Daniel Gafford.

Blazers was awarded a striking battle when Center Deangre Ayton left the game against Nuggets with what seemed to be a non-contact injury. He had to be helped to the dressing room and Mavs excluded him for the rest of the game. Ayton’s night ended after 19 minutes and scored 10 points (5-9 fg) with a block.

As my husband said D-MAC, picking Donovon Clingan quickly. To relieve Ayton, Clingan set a career high 21 points (8-8 fg, 1-1 3pt, 4-4 ft) with 7 rebounds and a block. Granted, this was yet another blowout, but without any clear timeline or updating on the severity of Ayton’s injury, Clingan gets a significant minute boost for blazers. Robert Williams III also receives his reasonable proportion of rest days, so if you need a big man, Clingan is a good effort for rebounds and blocks while shooting a high percentage from the field.

Warriors defeated Bucks (without Giannis AnteThekoumo) 125-111 Thanks to Stephen Curry’s fourth consecutive 30+ point night. Jimmy Butler continued to be just as effective and scored 20 points with 9 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals and only 1 turnover in 31 minutes.

Butler has been Uber-aggressive since coming to Warriors and walking 23-28 from the line in his last two matches. He brings it at both ends, and his presence has helped Curry operate with more space and role players such as Brandin Podziemski (10 points, 9 boards) and Buddy HIELD (16 points, 7 rebounds) produce. Butler’s playmaking and defense have ignited Warriors, and a move to the bay looks like a positive development for Butler’s fantasy and also Warriors.

Sacramento Kings came victorious in a 129-128 victory over Dallas Mavericks, where Demar Derozan hit a game winner on the overtime buzzer. When De’Aaron Fox was gone, Derozan looked comfortable in the clutch and scored 19 points in the fourth quarter and OT. Derozan ended with a season high 42 points, while Kyrie Irving led the way for Mavericks and scored 30 points with 9 boards, 7 assists and 3 steals.

Zach Lavine is starting to integrate well with its new team, an average of 18 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists across four competitions. Still with an injury, it will be difficult for avalanche to repeat the output we saw from his days in Chicago.

The biggest takeaway from this game was Daniel Gafford, who left the game with a knee injury. It didn’t look good and he had to be helped from court and was immediately excluded from the competition. Mavs HC Jason Kidd did not talk to the media after the game, and with so much investment in Dallas’ frontcourt, they may have another injury. Two players who become even more important are Max Christie and Naji Marshall. If none of them are available, Olivier-Maxence Prosper played 33 minutes and will be in the rotation if forford Miss Games.

  • Victor Wembanyama became the first player in the NBA story to gather at least 31 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, 3 blocks and 5 3s in a single game. He ended with 69 fantasy types. De’Aaron Fox also scored 30 points in a crucial victory over Washington Wizards.

  • The magic continued their fight to win ball games, but Franz Wagner and Paolo Banchero did their best to help fantasy leaders by scoring 53.9 and 43.2 fantasy points respectively.

  • Jayson Tatum scored 48.6 fantasy points in a dominant victory over the heat.
