Hard winter that leads to more snow days than usual

Nineteen. That’s the number of times school buses haven’t run this winter over Parry Sound district due to bad weather.

Check Seguin, CEO of Nipissing-Parry Sound Student Transport Services, says it is more than each of the last two years, and one from 5-year height of 20 registered in 2018-19.

Seguin says there were four snow days in December compared to one year before. January was also higher with nine days of bus cancellations compared to six same month last year.
