(ABC 6 News) – Talking to ABC 6 Anonymously said an employee of a neighboring country of Nupa Mediterranean Grill that the operation happened early Wednesday morning, around 10 pm. 9am

“We agreed to start our day and get our store opening,” they said. “We just saw as one, I think it was a Toyota -Tundra and a Dodge Ram, they just came unmarked.”

Maria Loera, resident of St. Charles, who works in Rochester, was one of the first to send a photo on Facebook about the operation that another person had sent to her.

She said the reason she did was to inform people.

“Lately, many people have been afraid to talk about everything that is going on just because others want proof,” Loera said. “But I thought it is better to pay attention than to know nothing, and it is better to know if something is going on.”

She also said that these operations have put many in the Latino community around Rochester on high alarm.

“People are like” I don’t want to go out, I don’t want to go shopping, “and many of the people of society who are of status say they are willing to shop for people, let go of the children of daycare or school. So everyone is trying to help. “

Immigration has been a big conversation for years, but has especially ramped up in the last few weeks since the Trump administration has taken over and began to intervene.

But now that the conversation has moved to Rochester’s backyard, the effects for some people have become more real.

“I mean, it’s obviously surprising,” said another person who speaks anonymously. They were drawn into Nupá South’s parking lot hours after the restaurants were closed to the day, unaware of what had happened.

They said they come into town twice a month and Nupá has always been a place for them.

“To see that it is affecting a place you love, it knows it is disturbing and it is confusing.”
