Ice Raid in Rochester leads to restaurant closure – Post Bulletin

Rochester -An American Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) attack Wednesday in Rochester picked up at least two people, workers at one of Nupa Restaurant locations.

A Facebook post from the restaurant’s profile

noticed that ICE officers arrested two brothers, both workers who “accounted for many of our male hours”, which were picked up in the parking lot at one of the restaurant’s two Rochester locations.

According to Social Media Post, the brothers were apparently employed by false documentation. When it was arrested, it was not known whether the brothers were asked for their documentation.

“We are waiting to hear more,” the Facebook post states.

From Thursday, February 13, owners of the restaurant’s Civic Center Drive location will close and will keep this store closed so far “as we navigate staff problems,” notes the post. “Which can be difficult as we have no new applicants of 4 years.”

Rochester -Police spokeswoman Amanda Grayson noted that RPD was aware that ICE agents were in Rochester on Wednesday, February 12, but RPD did not help the federal agents in any way.

This is an evolving story. Post Bulletin is updated as more information becomes available.
