Notorious Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes, once celebrated as the first female self-made billionaire, broke her silence in her first interview from a federal prison in Texas.

Holmes was sentenced to 11 years in prison in November 2022 for fraud and conspiracy and ordered to pay $ 452 million in recovery to investors to scam investors out of hundreds of millions of dollars by lying to raise money for her blood testing start -up theranos. Holmes is held in the Federal Pict Camp (FPC) Bryan in Bryan, TexasAbout 100 miles outside Houston.

Twice a week, she has permission for a few hours of visits to prison with her partner Billy Evans and their two children, William, 3, and Invicta, 2, shared Holmes in her interview.

The disgraceful Exec’s company, once appreciated in billions, falsely claimed that it invented a machine that could run complex tests with only a drop of blood.

“I’m not the same person as I was then,” said Holmes, who pleaded not guilty to the trial.

Holmes said that her reason for conducting the interview was to advocate on behalf of prisonered persons and inmates separated from their children.

Behind pillars, she works as a reentry officeist where she helps women to be released to prepare for their freedom and she teaches French classes. She also maintains one mostly vegan diet, but started eating fish after being anemically during her first year in prison, she told people.

Holmes is scheduled for release on April 3, 2032, and she said she is planning to continue her health technology career after her freedom.

“There’s not a day when I haven’t continued to work on my research and inventions,” she said. “I remain completely engaged in my dream of making affordable health solutions available to everyone.”
