KYRIE IRVING WOWS NBA fans as Mavs beats Curry, Butler, Warriors in spite of injuries

Kyrie Irving is cooking on Wednesday.

Dallas Mavericks star was too much for the Golden State Warriors to handle, place 42 points and seven rebounds in a 111-107 victory.

Without Anthony Davis available, Mavs needed that kind of performance from Irving that was helped by Klay Thompson (17 points, seven boards) and Max Christie (17 points, four assists)

Stephen Curry tempo the pace with 25 points and eight assists, while Jimmy Butler added 21 points, nine boards and seven assists.

It was Golden State’s first loss since the acquisition of Butler last week when the team beat Chicago Bulls and Milwaukee Bucks in his first two matches. The defeat dropped to 27-27, while Dallas improved to 29-26.

And it was pretty much down to Kyrie who got his flowers on social media after his amazing performance:

When Irving gets started, as if he was going on Wednesday, not many players in the NBA are more fun to look at. At crunchy time in the fourth quarter, Warriors flashed him with a double team every time he touched the ball, turning someone else on Mavericks to beat them.

It created some seemingly open looks after his teammates, though Daymond Green had a few monster -defensive acting to keep things close.

Nevertheless, Irving and Mavericks secured a dramatic victory, their third win in the last four matches. Dallas fans still feel betrayed from the shocking Luka Dončić trade, but the presence of Irving gave them something to cheer on Wednesday.
