Prince William and Kate Middleton share sweet picture to mark Valentine’s Day

It’s Valentine’s Day, and Prince William and Kate have set the tone with a romantic social media post. The royal couple today released a still image from the intimate video they shared last September when Kate announced she had finished her chemotherapy.

The photo that was broadcast this morning on Instagram and X shows the prince and princess of Wales sitting together in the woods on a blanket. They hold their hands and Kate smiles while William kisses her on the cheek. It was sent with only a picture of a heart as a caption.

The decision to share a picture for Valentine’s Day is a sign of a more personal approach to social media that the couple has made in the past year. On Father’s Day in June last year, a personal photograph Kate had taken by William with their three children on the beach were sent along with a message on behalf of George, Charlotte and Louis, who said “We Love You, Papa.” A few days later, on the Prince’s birthday, another personal photograph was shared this time with a message from Kate who said, “We love you all so much.” And in January of this year, William published a personal message to Kate on her birthday and described her as “the most incredible wife and mother.”

Kate, 43, has begun her gradual return to work after the news that she is now in remission from a non -reveled form of cancer. Prince William’s schedule towards the end of January and the beginning of this month was busy with several engagements across the country. The couple had been tilted to potentially attend Baftas this Sunday, but Kensington Palace shared this week that they will not go.
