Here’s Why Travis Kelce Skipped Taylor Swift’s Final Era Tour Show

After nearly two years and 149 shows, the Eras Tour ends on December 8. And while celebrities are expected to pack the VIP tent for Taylor Swift’s final show of the tour, is there one person who won’t be in attendance? Travis Kelce. But before you spiral, he has a good reason!

Due to the NFL grossly not taking the Eras Tour into consideration when putting together their schedule for this season, the Chiefs will play a game against the Chargers on December 8th. Not only that, it’s at 8:20 PM ET, which means Travis can’t even get the game out of the way in the early afternoon and then book it to Vancouver in time for Taylor’s show.

Bummer, but Travis has backed Taylor on one ton of Eras Tour shows over the past few months — flies pretty much every chance he gets. And when the tight end isn’t around, Taylor often gives him a shout. Like when she did her viral dance during the Eras Tour in Toronto back in November:

Sooo, what do Travis and Taylor have planned now that the Eras Tour is over? Well, Tay’s birthday is coming up in just a few days on December 13th, and on top of that, they’re rumored to be spending some quality time in New York City (where Tay has an apartment). Meanwhile, Travis still has plenty of games left in the NFL season, so expect Taylor to cheer him on from the stands.
