Ezekiel Elliott had a pair of signature touchdown celebrations. His “FEED ME” spoon motion could be done anywhere en route to his 82 touchdowns as a Dallas Cowboy. But his victorious leap into an oversized Salvation Army cauldron? It could only be done at AT&T Stadium around Christmas time.

Fortunately, Monday night’s matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals offered that opportunity. But when a star back crashed through the end zone and into the glittering cauldron behind the end line, Cowboys fans were disappointed to see it wasn’t Elliott.

And Bengals running back Chase Brown was disappointed his touchdown didn’t count…yet.

Brown was wrongly ruled down at the six-yard line. A challenge from Cincinnati head coach Zac Taylor solved that problem, but it didn’t put Brown back in his cauldron, leaving us with the rare sight of a grown man climbing out of a giant, bright red cauldron in disbelief.

Combine that with the ongoing shenanigans of an alternative broadcast that had Homer Simpson wing touchdown passes to CeeDee Lamb and… well, weird night.
