Bengals wide receiver Chase sets NFL rushing record in Monday night game

ARLINGTON, Texas (WKRC) – When Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase hauled in a four-yard reception on the first play of Monday night’s game at the Dallas Cowboys, he set an NFL record in the process.

The catch was Chase’s 80th of the season, making him the first player in NFL history to record at least 80 receptions, at least 1,000 yards and at least seven touchdowns in each of his first four seasons.

Chase entered Monday’s game with 1,142 yards and 13 touchdowns.

As a rookie in 2021, he had 81 receptions for 1,455 yards and 13 touchdowns.

In 2022, he had 87 catches for 1,046 yards and nine touchdowns.

Last season, he finished with 100 receptions for 1,216 yards and seven touchdowns.
