FIRST WEDNESDAY | Bitter cold joins in before another winter storm threat

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – Expect flurries and light snow across the region over the next few days, bringing light accumulations and cold temperatures.

Today and tomorrow:

Light snow showers today will cover some areas. A disturbance tonight and early Wednesday could bring blankets of up to 1″ of snow across central and eastern Kentucky.

Thursday and thereafter:

The cold temperatures will continue through Thursday, with temperatures potentially reaching near zero on Thursday morning.

Winter storm threat:

A winter storm is possible Friday and Saturday. Low pressure from Texas will bring moisture to Kentucky, but the intensity of the snowfall remains uncertain.
