Lingering icy roads and brutally cold chills in Baltimore before the next snow chance

Icy roads will linger early Tuesday behind the first winter storm of 2025. As of Tuesday morning, snow totals range from 4 to 10 inches of snow around Maryland.

A new daily snowfall record was set at BWI Airport with 6.6″ of snow. This is the most snow BWI has reported since January 2022.

All of this snowfall confirms the Fox45 weather team’s snowfall forecast. See original forecast below!

Work and school delays/cancellations may continue into Tuesday as crews continue to work to clear and treat roadways.

Dry weather returns on Tuesday, but Tuesday through Thursday will be cold and windy days. Highs will reach the low 30s with winds gusting to nearly 30 miles per hour.

Wind chills will make it feel like the low teens to single digits at times.

Over the weekend, highs will rise above freezing, but another wintry system is possible Friday night into Saturday morning, which could bring more snow to the area.

Right now it looks like the most likely scenario is light snow early Saturday with 1-3″ around Maryland.

Right now, the snow should be packed up before kickoff at M&T Bank Stadium on Saturday night.
