PrizePicks play on Tuesday, January 7th

This article is part of our DFS College Basketball series.

Tuesday night features several huge power conference matchups, including a top-10 matchup between the Tennessee Volunteers and Florida Gators at 7:00 PM ET on ESPN2. Out west, the Michigan Wolverines and UCLA Bruins meet in a ranked matchup in a conference game at Pauley Pavilion. That game is available at 10:00 PM ET on Peacock.

If you are not familiar with how to play, simply pick at least two players from any sport and pick more or less on their expected stats to win. Of course, we will exclusively select college hoops players, but you can mix and match from various other sports. You can also go with a flex game, which means you can still have a winning night even if you have a losing pick. Or you can go big and choose the power play, which pays out higher. However, you must hit all ends to win. Let’s get started.

Alex Condon, F, Florida

Looking at the top-10 conference matchup in Gainesville, we should have quite the defensive battle between the Volunteers and the Gators.

Tennessee allows just 55.9 PPG and it ranks No. 2 nationally. It will be difficult for the Gators to put up big points, which is why we stay away from the Condon for Points and/or Pts+Rebs or Pts+Rebs+Asts categories. Instead, we’ll keep an eye on Condon’s rebound numbers instead.

The 6-foot-11 forward has posted 10 or more rebounds in three of the past four games, including seven points and 10 rebounds in a loss Saturday at No. 10 Kentucky. Condon is also good for eight or more rebounds in seven of his last eight outings. He should be able to get to at least eight boards again on Tuesday.

CBB PrizePick’s selection: Alex CondonOver 7.5 rebounds

Riley Kugel, G, Mississippi State

Kugel has been playing good basketball of late, going for 17.7 PPG, 3.4 RPG and 2.0 APG over the past three games while hitting a total of five 3-pointers in the span.

The Bulldogs topped LSU 80-72 in Baton Rouge last time out, and the offense has managed 80 or more points in seven consecutive outings. You can also expect the Bulldogs to go for that total in Stark Vegas again on Tuesday.

For the Mississippi State picks, Kugel is closest to his season averages. He simply has to be average for cash. Lately, as mentioned above, he has gone beyond offensive. Vanderbilt has allowed 73.0 PPG in the past two games against power conference opponents, so Kugel and friends should post decent point totals. Expect Kugel to register three or four boards and two or three more assists as well.

CBB PrizePick’s selection: Riley KugelOver 14.5 Pts+Rebs+Assts

Vladislav Goldin, C, Michigan

In the late night game at Pauley Pavilion, expect defense to rule between the Michigan Wolverines and the UCLA Bruins.

Michigan earned an 85-74 win at USC last time out on Saturday, with Goldin going for 11 points on 4-of-7 shooting while adding four assists and three rebounds with four personal fouls in 25 minutes. While that’s all well and good, Golden and his Wolverines teammates can expect a lot more opposition from the defensive-minded Bruins.

UCLA allows just 59.2 PPG, which is 7th in the nation. The Bruins are allowing opponents to hit just 39.5 percent from the field while allowing teams to connect at a 29.5 percent rate from downtown. The latter isn’t really Goldin’s game, but he’s a force in the paint and will likely struggle with the defensive pressure. He has scored 13 or fewer points in two of the last three games, and those are against Fort Wayne and USC. The Bruins are much more stifling than those teams.

CBB PrizePick’s selection: Vladislav GoldinUnder 13 Points
