Fire breaks out on West Hollywood’s Sunset Strip as winds batter SoCal

WEST HOLLYWOOD, California – Firefighters have halted progress on a blaze that threatened homes in West Hollywood off the Sunset Strip as the area experienced strong winds in anticipation of an afternoon storm.

The fire was reported just before 10:10 a.m. near Sunset and La Cienega boulevards.

Sunset Blvd. was closed from Queens Road to Hayvenhurst Drive due to the firefight.

The progress of the fire was stopped at 10:51 am
