Firefighters have halted progress on a blaze that threatened homes in West Hollywood off the Sunset Strip as the area experienced strong winds in anticipation of an afternoon storm.

Sunset Blvd. was closed from Queens Road to Hayvenhurst Drive due to the firefight.
