OKC Thunder jersey history no. 13 – James Harden (2009-12)

The Oklahoma City Thunder (and the Seattle Supersonics before them) have 51 jersey numbers worn by the players who have suited up for the franchise since its founding at the start of the 1967–68 season. To commemorate the players who wore these numbers, Thunder Wire covers the entire history of jersey numbers and the players who have worn them since the founding of the team.

And while these Supersonics jerseys may not remain part of franchise history should a new team be established in Seattle, as was the case with the return of the Charlotte Hornets, they are part of Thunder history today.

For this article we continue with the 15th jersey number in the series, jersey no. 13, with a total of 10 players wearing the jersey in franchise history.

The fifth of these players did so in Oklahoma City Thunder era, guard alum James Harden. After finishing his college career at Arizona State, Harden was taken with the third overall selection of the 2009 NBA draft by the Thunder.

The Los Angeles, California native would play the first 3 seasons of his professional career with OKC, ending when he was dealt to the Houston Rockets in 2012.

During his time suiting up for the Thunder, Harden only wore jersey No. 13 and posted 12.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.1 steals per match.
