Man found fatally shot in crashed car

WASHINGTON, NC (WITN) – Police in an eastern Carolina city say a man found dead in a vehicle after a crash had been shot.

The Washington Police Department says they were called to the intersection of Bonner Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Street. Drive for a vehicle collision just before 6:30 p.m

When they got there, police say they discovered the driver had been shot.

Police say the victim, 20-year-old Shamari Parker of Washington, was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to police, the shooting is being investigated as a homicide and no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
