Tongue-in-cheek oil rush sim Turmoil is free to claim on the Epic Games Store

The Epic Games Store’s Christmas giveaways have finally come to an end, but it doesn’t look like the store has any plans to end its weekly freebie promotion for PC gamers. Replacement All hell broke loose from last week, today the store brought a copy Rebellion for all to claim. You have seven days to add it permanently to your library.

Developed by Gamious and originally published in 2016, Rebellion comes to be described as a tongue-in-cheek nod to the 19th century gold rush in North America. The campaign offers a simulation experience and puts you in the role of an oil baron going on a rags-to-riches journey.

This involves renting land and searching for the liquid gold, upgrading and tooling for oil mining, beating rivals with shady business deals in the local saloon, maximizing profits by manipulating prices and outbidding others at stock auctions, among other techniques.

Rent land at the city auction and search for oil. Build a rig, create an efficient pipe network and bring the oil up to store it in silos. Sell ​​the oil at the best times to maximize profits. So buy important upgrades in town to deal with rocks, gas and ice. Get more city shares than your competitors in a bid to become the new mayor.
