Georgia QB Carson Beck enters NCAA transfer portal: Report

Georgia quarterback Carson Beck is expected to enter the NCAA’s transfer portal, On3’s Pete Nakos reports.

Beck, 23, previously announced he was entering the 2025 NFL Draft, but he apparently wants to play one more college season. He threw for 3,485 yards, 28 touchdowns and 12 interceptions and completed 64.7% of his passes for the 11-3 Bulldogs.

His 2024 campaign ended in the SEC Championship Game when he was injured on a sack just before halftime. Beck did not play in the second half, except for the final play when he passed to Trevor Etienne for the game-winning touchdown in Georgia’s 22-19 victory over Texas.

Beck was eventually diagnosed with a torn UCL in his right elbow, sidelining him for the rest of Georgia’s season, which ended in the College Football Playoff quarterfinals with a 23–10 loss to Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl.

Beck was a two-year starter for the Bulldogs, taking over for Stetson Bennett after winning two consecutive national championships. During those two seasons, he completed 68% of his passes for 7,426 yards and 52 touchdowns.
