Madonna stuns in a dark pink kimono as she shares a series of photos from her New Year’s trip to Japan

Madonna rang in the new year in style by taking a trip to Japan.

And The Queen of Pop, 66, shared a series of snaps to her Instagram on Wednesday, showing off her incredible holiday and her effortlessly chic fashion choices.

For a single moment, Madonna looked nothing short of sensational as she posed in a dark pink kimono.

The intricate design of the traditional garment highlighted the singer’s timeless beauty as she accessorised with a multi-coloured bracelet and wore a flawless palette of make-up consisting of a bold red lip and striking black winged eyeliner.

Meanwhile, the pop icon appeared in another high-spirited moment as she was joined by her new boyfriend Akeem Morris, 28.

The pair looked more loved up than ever as they frolicked around a colorfully lit pool.

Madonna wrapped herself up warmly in a fur headband and black parka jacket as she beamed for the snap.

She captioned the string of snaps with: ‘Thank you Japan for the most magical and inspiring experience with the ones I love! A beautiful way to start the new year! .’

It comes after the singer sparked engagement rumors with boyfriend Akeem when she shared a series of photos with him while rocking a diamond ring on her left finger.

Eagle-eyed fans were quick to notice her sparkly new accessory, which she put on full display as she proudly flashed it at the camera in several pictures.

In one photo, she held up her new piece of bling as she walked down an aisle with her husband after a night out.

Other snaps showed the loved-up duo hitting the dance floor, with the Like a Prayer hitmaker sharing a sweet hug with her daughter.

‘I’ve been to hell and back and let me tell you it was wonderful!’ she captions her post.

‘I saw this phrase at a Louise Bourgeois exhibition in Tokyo on New Year’s Eve. She took the words right out of my mouth… Being a mother and an artist – equal parts, joy and suffering.’

She continued: ‘I can’t imagine living any other life – Here’s to more love – To happy children – to magical thinking – To good health and eternal blessings. I thank and praise anyone who is brave, – in this life and all the others. In 2025, I raise a glass to everyone who has the courage to be their authentic self.’

Akeem is a former football player and political science graduate from Stony Brook University. The 28-year-old met the pop icon back in August 2022.

They were not romantically linked until July 2024, after Madonna posted photos of them cuddling on social media.

The couple recently rekindled their romance just weeks after reportedly calling it quits in October.

His return marks another chapter in Madonna’s high-profile love life, which has included boxer Joshua Popper and dancer Ahlamalik Williams.

She has been married twice. First to actor Sean Penn from 1985 to 1989 and later to director Guy Ritchie from 2000 to 2008. In 2022, Madonna said she regretted both of her marriages.

The singer previously said in an interview with The Sun in 2015 that she ‘felt imprisoned’ at times during her marriage to Penn.

“I wasn’t really allowed to be myself,” she told the newspaper. ‘You have to find someone who accepts who you are and is comfortable with it.’

Meanwhile, she compared her marriage to Ritchie as a ‘soap opera’ to Details magazine in 2011.

‘It’s certainly not something I regret… The experience was ultimately very positive. I love the kids (Rocco Ritchie and David Banda) and it came out of that and I couldn’t see any other way to go,’ she concluded.
