Kentucky & Ole Miss Recap

We lost a tough one to Kentuckyand then we followed it up with one embarrassment of a game at Ole Miss. Are we a fraud? Or are we just going through a rough patch?

When I watched the Kentucky game, I felt like we weren’t that evenly matched, they just got out to such a big lead so early that we had to come from behind. We lost and it was sad, but I still felt like we had a chance against almost anyone in the conference.

Then we lost by 28 to Ole Miss. The rebels slowly but surely retreated further and further ahead of us. They surpassed us, surpassed us, more or less over-all us. We went 4-for-17 from three, which simply won’t cut it against the SEC. We’re missing something (and Sacha Washington too, but we can’t really help that right now, can we?) and we’ll find it soon.

Notable Accomplishments (Since Kentucky Game)

No. 9 Oklahoma beat no. 15 THEM (thank God)

Texas A&M beat no. 25 Ole Miss (ugh, look, it’s not even like this is a world-beating Ole Miss)

No. 5 Texas doubled up on No. 18 Alabama (Texas is really really good and maybe Alabama is bad too?)

Mississippi State defeated Oklahoma No. 10 (SEC is a bloodbath, yada yada yada…)

Tech, Virginia beat no. 13 Tech, Georgia (Tech! Tech! Tech!)

Oklahoma State beat No. 17 West Virginia (These two schools feel similar in my head, I like that they play off each other)

Preview of LSU

Now we’re going to Baton Rouge to face LSU, and while I wasn’t sure this team was actually worth the number next to their name based on a pretty weak non-conference schedule, they just got out of the no. 16 DEM earlier this week to remain one of the last three undefeated teams in the country. Meanwhile, we have completely fallen apart. This could end up being the toughest game on our schedule and although I think we should have a chance here, I doubt this is where we turn conference play around.
