Gamecocks add NC State transfer corner coming from Palmetto State

South Carolina has added another cornerback out of the transfer portal.

A few weeks after the signing Ball State transfer Myles NorwoodThe Gamecocks picked up a commitment from NC State transfer Brandon Cisse on Monday night. USC also confirmed his signing.

Cisse chose South Carolina over Ole Miss.

A Sumter native who played at Lakewood High, Cisse has played in 22 games over the past two college football seasons, recording 38 tackles and an interception.

According to Pro Football Focus, Cisse was NC State’s top-graded cornerback and excelled at tackle and run defense.

Cisse visited South Carolina last week, shortly after visiting Ole Miss.

With O’Donnell Fortune’s departure, South Carolina will have a starting cornerback spot up for grabs — perhaps part of the reason Cisse decided to become a Gamecock.
