These Midstate schools announced closings, delays until Tuesday after winter storm

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – As temperatures remain well below average to start the week, some Midstate schools have announced closings or delays for Tuesday, January 14th.

Any melting that has occurred or will occur over the next few afternoons may turn into icy patches overnight. Beware of black ice, especially on secondary roads.

A refreeze is possible overnight as the temperature quickly drops into the 20s. They will bottom out in the teenage years for some. Nashville’s low will be 20°. Thanks to the overnight refreeze, isolated icy spots will be possible in the morning.

Tomorrow will be a little milder during the afternoon thanks to a southwesterly wind. High, 42.
