School closings in East Tennessee caused by icy roads on January 14, 2025

After Friday’s winter snowstorm, icy roads and low temperatures have caused another round of school closings and delays.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Some East Tennessee and Kentucky schools will be closed again Tuesday in the wake of Friday’s winter storm. Refreezing snow coupled with low temperatures has caused icy roads to develop in some areas, making driving conditions dangerous.

A list of area school districts and organizations that said they would close or open late Tuesday, Jan. 14, is available below.
