Previous Carolina Panthers wide receiver Diontae Johnson, also known as former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson and former Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Diontae Johnson, is now former Houston Texans wide receiver Diontae Johnson.

Seam officially announced The Texans waived Johnson on Tuesday afternoon as they head into their divisional round game against the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs. Houston is now the fourth organization this season to move on from the former Pro Bowl pass catcher.

Johnson, who was visibly upset during Saturday’s wild-card round win over the Los Angeles Chargers, reportedly “made a scene” in the locker room after the play:

His tumultuous 2024 campaign began with the Panthers, who acquired him from the Steelers in March in an agreement involving cornerback Donte Jackson and a pick trade. Johnson ended up playing in seven games for Carolina before they traded him to Baltimore in October.

The Ravens would then part ways with a disgruntled Johnson after four games and waive him on December 20.

Johnson played just two games for Houston.
