Chris Wood poses again as the magical forest run continues

Nuno Espírito Santo’s high-flying Nottingham Forest are off to a dream start this evening as they host Liverpool at The City Ground.

It was none other than leading man Chris Wood who gave Forest the early lead against the Reds, calmly converting past Alisson after Anthony Elanga had picked his last third run.

With it, Wood has achieved his best goalscoring tally of the season as he led the way for Nuno’s men and notched his 13th Premier League goal of the campaign in 21 appearances.

The veteran centre-forward has also achieved the feat of scoring against every single Premier League team he has faced twice or more.

Now just one goal short of equaling his best ever goal in the English top flight, his strike enabled Forest to find the first goal in a game for the 17th time in the league campaign, four more than any other outfit.

A dream of returning to Europe is certainly on the cards.
