Faran Tahir reprises the role of ‘Iron Man’ in Marvel’s Vision series

EXCLUSIVE: Faran Tahir (Iron Man, Star Trek) will appear in the Paul Bettany-led series Vision Questa WandaVision spinoff series for Disney+, sources confirm to Deadline.

Tahir will reprise his role as the villain Raza, the leader of the terrorist organization The 10 Rings, who tried to kill Tony Stark in Iron Man.

Details are scarce about the new project, but as we previously reported, the Marvel Vision spinoff has been in development at Disney+ since 2022 and was picked up to series in May. It is believed to center on Vision (Bettany) as he tries to regain his memory and humanity. After Thanos killed him in 2018 Avengers: Infinity WarVision returned in the 2021s WandaVision.

In addition to Bettany returning to the role he has played in three Marvel films and WandaVisionwill James Spader reprise his MCU role as Ultron. Todd Stashwick will also appear in an undisclosed role.

Star Trek: Picard EP Terry Matalas will serve as showrunner on the new series.

Tahir is an actor, producer, writer and director whose credits include Iron Man, Star Trek, Elysiumand Flight plan. Most recently, Tahir starred in several films in three different languages: Paper Flowers (English), The martial artist (English), The window (English), Umro Ayyar (Urdu), Rawalpindi Express (Urdu and Punjabi), Inspector Jamshed (English & Urdu) and Coup!

His TV credits include FX’s The old manSyphilis 12 monkeysABC’s ScandalFox’s Prison BreakOnce Upon a Time and American Crime for ABC with guest appearances on the CW’s SupergirlCBS’s criminal minds, ABC’s Elementary and the Spader-led drama series The blacklist.

On stage, he was recently seen on Broadway in The kite runner.

Tahir was awarded the Voices of Courage and Conscience Award from the Muslim Public Affairs Council in 2011. He is represented by Greene Talent and attorney Mark S. Temple.
