The next generation of one of the greatest athletes in Florida history could be on its way.

Demi-Leigh Tebow, wife of UF great Tim Tebow, announced Tuesday that she is pregnant with the couple’s first child.

In an exclusive interview with People magazineDemi-Leigh said the couple are “over the moon” to have their first child.

“I’m so grateful because I just couldn’t imagine a better life partner to live life with first and foremost,” she told People. “Being able to raise a tiny little human together. I’m so thankful that Tim is my husband… that we get to parent together.”

She is 16 weeks pregnant. In the exclusive, Tim Tebow said that the pregnancy has completely changed his outlook on life.

“It’s just amazing how it also re-prioritizes and changes what you emphasize and what you value most,” Tebow told People. “News like that just replaces the level of importance and the level of joy that you have.”

A 29-year-old from Sedgefield, South Africa, Demi-Leigh met Tim in 2018 – a year after he became Miss Universe. In January 2019, the two were engaged from Tim’s home in Jacksonville. On January 20, 2020, the two were married an hour outside of Cape Town in South Africa.

Tebow, of course, contributed too Gators from 2006-2009. He won the Heisman in 2007, becoming the third Gator to do so and the first sophomore. He also won the program’s second and third national championships in 2006 and 2008.

He now works as an analyst for ESPN and the SEC Network and is part of the SEC Network’s weekly Saturday traveling pregame show SEC Nation.

“Baby Tebow” is coming out this summer, and who knows? He or she could set foot on the UF campus in 2043…
