COLUMBIA, Mo. — Missouri football filled its transfer portal class with one of the best players still on the board at this point in the window.

Former Georgia defensive end Damon Wilson II committed to the Tigers as a transfer Tuesday. He was rated the second-best defensive lineman to enter the portal this cycle by 247Sports and the most available player as of Tuesday night.

Wilson chose MU over Ohio State.

He made 22 tackles, recorded three sacks and forced two fumbles for the Bulldogs in 2024, his second season in Athens.

Wilson is 6-4, 250 pounds and hails from Venice, Florida. He is expected to have two years of eligibility left.

Wilson will immediately jump into the mix at the top of Mizzou’s crop of edge rushers, which includes another former Georgia D-end in Darris Smith, who missed the 2024 season with a torn ACL.
