BAFTA Film Awards nominations announced

Holy smokes, a film dramatizing the process of electing a pope, headlines the 2024 BAFTA Film Awards.

“Conclave” earned 12 nominations, beating the musical about a drug lord who received gender reassignment treatment, “Emilia Pérez,” which had 11.

Period drama “The Brutalist” scored nine nominations.

The three films will fight for the best film category.
