The ‘Spotify Wrapped’ of public transport is here!

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Public transport’s version of Spotify Wrapped is back – and with a new name.

An upgrade from last year’s 2023 Metro Report “Metro Rewind” was released on Wednesday, January 15.

Curious about how many trips you took? How about where you rank against other customers? 2024 Metro Rewind promises to tell you all that and more, including how your use of public transport is helping the environment.

For those glued to the Red Line all night, WMATA might make “The Night Owl” your “Metro Personality” — or if you rely on the Silver Line as your commute to and from the office, you might be more of a “ The 9-5.”

This year’s data analysis includes creative elements that help users celebrate their horsemanship.

By 2024, ridership along the Metro increased by over 12% across Metrorail, Metrobus and MetroAccess compared to 2023. Overall, the transit system had over 250 million passenger trips.
