The fallout from a viral video of a vulgar fan interaction at Sunday’s Eagles playoff game against the Green Bay Packers continues as TMZ reports that the Eagles fan has been fired from his job.

Video of the incident surfaced on social media shortly after the Eagles’ 22-9 Wild Card win over the Packers.

The Eagles fan has since been banned from future events at Lincoln Financial Field.

The backstory:

The Eagles hosted and defeated the Packers in an NFC Wild Card game on Sunday afternoon. Shortly after the game, video began circulating on social media showing an Eagles fan taunting two Packers fans, including the person recording.

The video shows one of the fans celebrating a play on the field before the Eagles fan leans down and starts talking to her and calling her names, claiming she misunderstood what had happened on the field during that particular play.

As the man recording the video asks the Eagles fan to leave the woman alone, he repeats the vile remarks and continues to berate the visiting fans.

According to sources, the team identified all parties involved and barred the Eagles fan from attending future events at the stadium. They also worked on sending Packers merchandise to Packers fans as an apology, according to a source.

According to TMZ, the Eagles fan was identified as an employee of BCT Partners, a consulting firm that specializes in diversity, equity and inclusion services.

What they say:

After the video surfaced, the company took to social media to say it had been made aware of the video and condemned the behavior.

“As an organization that has always stood for inclusivity, the behavior displayed was completely unacceptable and stands in direct opposition to our corporate values,” the company wrote in their initial statement. “We have already begun a full investigation as a personnel matter to determine what actions will be taken. We sincerely apologize to anyone affected by this behavior and remain committed to fostering a culture of respect for all.”

The company issued another statement on Tuesday evening announcing that it had decided to ‘part company with the employee’ with immediate effect.

“We condemn our former employee’s behavior in the strongest possible terms. This person’s behavior and language was disgusting, disgusting, unacceptable and horrific and has no place in our workplace and society. Such behavior is not who we are and not what we stands for.”

The statement goes on to say that they can condemn their former employee’s actions without condemning him in hopes that he can grow and learn from the situation.

“None of us deserve to be remembered for actions taken on our worst day. We have offered mercy and support to our former employee. We hope he will grow and we can all learn from this deeply disturbing incident. It is , what true inclusion is and It is also who we are and what we stand for.’
