‘Masterclass’: Bondi flips the script on Dem Senator after suggesting she wants to arm DOJ

Conservatives on social media celebrated President-elect Trumps Attorney General nominated Pam Bondi’s response to a question from Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, DR.I., during her confirmation hearing Wednesday.

“Wouldn’t it be appropriate for a prosecutor to start with a name and look for a crime?” Whitehouse said during his questioning. “It’s a prosecutor’s job to start with a crime and look for a name. Correct?”

Bondi responded by highlighting the federal government’s investigations into Trump.

“Senator, I think that’s the whole problem with the armaments that we’ve seen the last four years and what’s happened with Donald Trump,” Bondi said.

“They targeted Donald Trump. They went after him, actually starting back in 2016. They targeted his campaign. They’ve launched countless investigations against him. That won’t happen. If I’m attorney general, I’m not going to politicize that office ,” Bondi said. “I will not target people simply because of their political affiliation. Justice will be administered equally throughout this country. Senator, we have to bring this country back together. We have to move forward or we will we to lose our country.”

At another point during the conversation with Whitehouse, Bondi said, “Let me give you a really good example of a bad lawyer at the Justice Department, a guy named Clinesmith, who changed a FISA warrant. One of the most important things we can do in This country will all be held to an equal justice system if I am the next Attorney General and no one is above the law.

Conservative on social media quickly noticed the exchange.

“Pam Bondi completely flips the script on Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D) who tried to make it look like she wanted to arm the DOJ,” Florida’s Voice News Assistant News Director Eric Daughtery published on X. “Master class.”

“Pam Bondi makes Sheldon Whitehouse look stupid,” Trump ’24 Deputy Director of Rapid Response Greg Price published on X.
