How to Watch #17 Purdue (13-4, 5-1) at Washington (10-7, 1-5) & How to Watch

Purdue was riding high after scoring 104 points and hopping on a plane, and like generations before them, will look west. But it is not gold, silver or other precious metals they are looking for. No, instead it’s victories. Solid (old) gold wins! Purdue has the opportunity to pick up two of them on this road trip, and the first chance is tonight against the Washington Huskies.

A conference road game against Washington. Just imagine going back in time and telling yourself that 5 years ago, 10 years ago, even 20 years ago when I was a freshman at Purdue. That would have been absolutely incredible. Yet this is the reality we live in. Purdue has just one conference loss so far this season, but still finds itself one game back in the loss column as neither Michigan nor Michigan State have lost a game. Purdue is in sole possession of third place, but as the only team in the conference with only one loss. Michigan and Michigan State will both drop their share of games to be sure, but Purdue needs this game against Washington to keep pace. The thinking in the Big Ten is that the team that wins the conference isn’t always the best team, but rather it’s the team that wins the games they need to win and doesn’t slip up on the road. Purdue should win this game. They need to win this game to keep pace.
